Lord, I love you...

Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that
You are my God...

You altogether lovely
altogether worthy
altogether wonderful to me...

Let go...

drink up, baby down
mmm, are you in or are you out
leave your things behind'
cause it's all going off without you
excuse me, too busy you’re writing your tragedy
these mishaps
you bubble wrap
when you've no idea what you're like

so (let go)let go, jump in
oh well, whatcha waiting for
it's alright'
cause there's beauty in the breakdown
so (let go)yeah, let go, just get in
oh, it's so amazing here
it's alright'cause there's beauty in the breakdown

The unbearable lightness of being free

Finally, Sunshine! but I already start to miss those overcast days, cuz warm weather tends to make me feel too light-hearted. Adding to that, in the hiatus of homeworks, my extra free time on hand for the last couple of days really made me uneasy and even guilty of being so "free." You know, when it's warm outside, you just can't fight the gravity that draws you out of the library when your heart is as light as a piece of paper. Now, I got my plate full again, with homeworks, projects, exams and whatnot, and suddenly I feel good again, like I have found my bookweight when the wind is blowing my paper all over the place. I guess Mr. pressure has become my friend now. It's true that when you spent enough time with someone, even if you don't like him, you will still miss him when he's gone.

When ... met ...

Every Tuesday morning when she went to her favorite breakfast place, he was there. Sitting at the same table, reading paper. She ordered the omelete as usual, and sat across from him, as before. He looked up, smiled, a little blushed, and looked back down at his paper. She smiled back. The radio was playing the same sappy old love songs. She was people-watching, he occasionally looked up at her, and she knew it. It's been like this forever, but they never talked, nothing happened. He always wanted to just walk up to her table, sit down, and said, "Hi I'm..." but everytime, he said to himself "next tuesday." She thought about striking a conversation with him someday, but never be able to muster enough courage to do so. I wonder what would happen if they could just be a little bolder. Alas, life is too short to afford another tuesday. The opportunity you forgo so easily might be your last chance at happiness.

When I'm 64

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out 'till quarter to three, would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

Hmm------mmm---mmmh.
You'll be older, too.Aaah, and if you say the word, I could stay with you.

I could be handy, mending a fuse, when your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside, sunday mornings, go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wightif it's not to dear. We shall scrimp and save.
Ah, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck, and Dave.

Send me a postcard, drop me a line stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say, yours sincerely wasting away.
Give me your answer, fill in a form, mine forever more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?

Ride above the weather...

The day can't get any gloomier, yet all day I wear this big smile on my face. One brother used to say, smile is the logo of Christians, truth indeed. Like today, while walking on campus, passed by those emotionally strained faces, I couldn't help but look up, a small aircraft happened to be gliding through the dark clouds, up, up and away. At that moment, I felt that I can see the sunshine above the cold, overcast atmosphere, I can feel the love from the heaven above the mundane and routine grind, and yes I am walking above the weather. :-)

You can do it! We can help!

Not mean to steal HomeDepot's line or anything. It's just something popped up in my head today. Things you used to think you can't do turn out not that hard to accomplish after all. You just have to tell yourself three times: You can do it! Stick it out, try a little harder, wait a little longer before you give up, and have faith in yourself, then you will realize you are truly invincible!
