The happiest place on earth...

Disneyland was recruiting on campus today, and the reps were giving out those applications with the first page titled as "Guidelines at a Glance."one of those guidelines is "no visible piercing, tattoo, hair must be natural looking, only one ring on each hand is permitted, earings maybe clip-on or pierced and must be worn on the bottom of the earlobe (and it went on about the size standard of earings), no heavy make-up, nail lengh may not exceed 1/4" from the fingertip.........." well, no wonder their presentation today had a really low turnout, look around the campus, it's really hard to find a person that could meet those criteria, so why bother? I've heard about Disney's reputation about being strict on their employees before, so I am not surprised at all. But wait a minute, if it was, as the recruiter said on the presentation, those guidelines are set to accommodate the younger crowd, what about the new hit shows ABC recently put on to attract more eyeballs, "Desperate Housewife," "Jake in Progress," ... not to mention other so called "family-friendly shows" that are also putting in some "spice" to boost up their rating. Can we really create a fairy tale for our kids to live in in today's world? if yes, for how long?
